                  Spring has come

Genista

A leguminous deciduous shrub native to Central-Southern Europe. 1 to 3 m in height. In addition to garden trees and cut flowers, it is planted for erosion control. A yellow butterfly shaped flower with a length of about 2 cm is opened in May and June. The stems and leaves contain toxic alkaloids with cardiotonic activity and are used as antipyretics. Seedlings will bloom in two years, but will also propagate in cuttings. Horticultural varieties also include Houbenien Nishida and double-breasted species, which have dark red spots on their wings.

Star Cherry Carnation

Star cherry is a kind of spray carnation and is a relatively new breed. A small, cherry-colored flower in the shape of a star.

Scabiosa

The Japanese name is “Sukabiosa,” and its round head and stalks are nice flowers like worms. The left is a slightly unusual type of “Yancha” breed. The right is a type that is often sold out with cut flowers that become hemispherical at full bloom.

Japanese Aucuba

Japanese Aucuba called Aoki is a tree that is strong in heat, cold and shade.

However, it is said that it is auspicious as a symbol of vitality, as its shiny leaves are lush all year round.

In addition, it is also known that the female tree has a large red fruit, which is good for good luck.
