Hello. I am fukuomi shimoda. I was born in Kumamoto, but grew up in Hiroshima. Thus, I consider both cities as my home towns.
I am currently 35 years old, and I’ve studied in mission school for six years. The opportunity to touch the godly Christian culture was valuable. At the same time, it became an opportunity to be very interested in the culture of our Japan.
During my college years in Tokyo, I learned about agricultural circumstances in Japan at a school directly under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Especially, the house where I was born was a tea farmer that has been continuing since a long time ago. For that reason, I went to the university to visit Korea, Taiwan, China and so on for research on tea, not only in Japan. At the tea industry research institute in Shizuoka, I have also worked on research on low caffeine tea. “Tea ceremony”, “play the samisen”, “Japanese dancing” … The university era familiar with Japanese culture was an opportunity to deliver this blog.
Today, the efficacy of Japanese tea has been drawing attention. It is evidence that tea has been reconsidering its role as a medicine since ancient times. We can now get a lot of information. Recently in Japan, the media reports “100 Years of Life”. “100 Years of Life” is a prerequisite that it is a healthy body. Tea for keeping healthy. I will continue to distribute that information on this blog.
