Japanese flower arrangement
Flower (Floral) arrangement (ikebana) is art that appreciates only plants and other plants, mainly composed of various other materials. Also referred to as called Ikebana (flower arrangement). However, the designation of flower arrangement emphasizes the purported meaning rather than “Ikebana”. There are various schools in the flower arrangement, style and technique are different for each school.

Ikebana in Japan is derived from Ikenobo, and now there are over 300 schools (Ryuha) expanded. I chose Sogetsu style from among Ikenobo, Ohara, and Sogetsu,These are three big amount of the school (Ryuha).
I got the charm of Sogetsu which I felt the luxury of flower arrangement and the seasonal feeling of Japanese flower arrangement, Ikebana was decorated at the front desk of hotel stayed on the first day when I went to New York in the USA.
I immediately started to take lessons looking for Sogetsu style flower arrange lesson.
Life with Ikebana
Bread is better than the song bird??
There is such a saying in Japan.Hana yori Dango. Rice cake is the better than flowers.Translate directly. It’s means translate in English Bread is better than the song bird. I do not agree with this idiom.I agree this idiom when I was younger.Of course I still love to eat, but living surrounded by flowers is very relax and comfort.
There is always flower arrangement at the entrance of our house. By decorating flower arrangement, gorgeousness, elegance and luxury increase in that space. We are pleased with our guests who come to our house, and they are praised that the entrance is bright.
15 years passed
When I started Ikebana in New York, Then move to Seoul, Tokyo and current located in Kumamoto I continue to learn for 15 years.
Although I have been absent for about 1 year due to childbirth, I also acquired a commercial licence for teaching Ikebana flower arrangement Sogetsu.
While taking advantage of the lessons learned abroad and the experience of flower arrangement, I want to inherit Japanese culture, Ikebana, and spread the appeal to overseas people and want to live.
